For Every “I Do” and Every Love -Wedding Makeup for Grooms | Natural, Bright, Camera-Ready

Love is love! This month, I had the honor of doing the makeup and hair for a queer wedding where the two grooms are close friends of mine. I was honored to be invited — and even more so when they asked me to do the makeup and hair for their wedding party.

The grooms, Daniel and Artemis, chose a red, blue, and purple color theme for their wedding. Individually, red and blue are striking on their own, but together they create purple —an even more beautiful color. Just like their love. I loved the symbolism behind that choice.

Daniel’s goal was simple: polished, natural, and camera-ready. He wanted to even out his skin tone, soften redness, and subtly brighten his eyes while still looking completely like himself. I began with deeply hydrating skincare, carefully working product through areas with facial hair and blending seamlessly into the neck to create a smooth canvas. For complexion, I used Kosas Hydrating BB Cream for a breathable base, layered with the ESUM Bronzer Palette for dimension, and the RCMA Foundation Palette for precise concealing and spot correction — enhancing, never masking.

  • Above is a photo of Daniel with his sisters, whose makeup I also had the joy of doing.

There is something incredibly special about witnessing a friend marry their person. I have always believed all forms of love are worth celebrating. Seeing them so happy and fully themselves was a reminder of why I love what I do.
